position summary:
transperfect is looking for qualified chinese into english translators interested in an onsite project collaboration. we’re looking for candidates experienced in financial document translation, and preferably native english speaker.


description:
 minimum bachelor's degree or its equivalent ideally in a language field
 at least 2-4 years of office environment working experience (preferably as part of a team)
 native or near-native english as well as native or near-native chinese speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both english and chinese
 ability to support multiple projects by keeping accurate and up-to-date project specs
 excellent problem solving and time management skills, under deadlines in various time zones worldwide
 ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
 ability to maintain effective and prompt communication with peers
 satisfactory results on company tests
 minimum passing grade (subject to individual language) on appropriate foreign language test, as applicable
 ability to work with multiple software tools (including microsoft office and web-based tools) on each project
 familiarity with computer text input tools for both simplified and traditional chinese
 self-motivated and can work independently on each of assigned projects as well as being a good team player in a language group when a group effort is required
 experience with basic microsoft office programs (word, excel, powerpoint), as well as adobe acrobat pdf marking tools



required skills:
 minimum of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent
 must be a fluent english speaker, native english speaker preferred
 fluent level of mandarin chinese
 prior translation/proofreading experience
 expertise in financial services field
 acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
 ability to work in a fast paced environment
