Primary Purpose of Position
The incumbent is responsible to develop new and enhance existing applications for Magnesium die castings. Translates new/advanced customer requirements into manufacturable and economical product designs. Establishes plans for and coordinates activities on such designs and development. 负责开发新的和加强当前的镁合金铸件产品的应用。把新的/高级客户需求转换成具备生产可行性的和经济的产品设计。为设计和开发制定计划并对此进行协调。

Major Responsibilities of Position
? Provides engineering support for inquiries on new/advanced requirements received by Business Development

? Provides leadership in the development of new/advanced designs

? Develops new and existing applications for Magnesium Die Castings
为镁合金铸件开发新的和现有的应用。
? Translates concepts and designs into drawings, specifications and Engineering reports.

? Customer’s main contact for product design and packaging issues

? Verifies designs through the use of Finite Element Analysis and load analysis

? Continuous monitoring of competitive situations and development of action plans.

? Continuous monitoring of new equipment, materials and processes for designated market areas.

? Conducts product benchmark studies进行产品基准研究
? Keeps up to date on the latest developments in the industry in die casting and automotive parts to research magnesium applications.

? Work directly with customers and/or CAD designer to work through design related issues for possible options.

Education and Skill Requirements
? University Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-10 years of automotive manufacturing and/or die casting experience or Technological Diploma/Apprenticeship with 10-15 years progressive manufacturing/design experience.
