transperfect is looking for freelance english<>simplified chinese post-editors/translators/proofreaders to join our team of life sciences linguists. we collaborate with the top players within the life science industry with a focus on clinical technical and clinical legal documents, requiring an extremely high level of translation quality, service, professionalism, and care. your particular language skills and life science and medical knowledge will allow you to produce well-polished and client-ready translations.

required skills:
• fluency in simplified chinese and english
• comprehensive knowledge of and ability to research contents in life science and medical areas, especially with clinical trials, ctd cmc and non-clinical modules, precision medicine
• strong working knowledge of ms office applications and cat tools, we provide additional wordfast and post-editing training upon passing of the tests
• excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in simplified chinese and english
• ability to accept feedback and use it advantageously on future tasks
• strong attention to detail, focused on quality and accuracy
• able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• minimum passing grade in english<>simplified chinese language tests
• minimum of 20 hours availability weekly

required experience:
• minimum bachelor’s degree in translation or relevant disciplines
• minimum of 3 years’ experience translating or editing life sciences and medical documents, experience in clinical trials, ctd cmc and non-clinical modules, precision medicine preferred
• minimum of 1 year experience in ai translation/post-editing
• catti grade 2 or equivalent
