inktale translation & consultancy is looking for a qualified project manager to join the international translation department. in this role, you'd be required to fully manage selected translation projects alongside a supportive and closeknit team. this role requires precision and good communication skills, and as part of the job, you would be utilising cat tools & translation memory software to achieve a high quality end product for clients. candidates will be required to provide feedback and must also demonstrate an understanding of and aptitude for working within a fast-past international environment.


responsibilities
· manage and oversee all stages of translation projects (receipt of request from client, price and delivery schedule quotation)
· preparation of internal paperwork (interpreting client’s instructions into a format understandable by all staff)
· liaise with in-house and part-time translation staff, proofreaders and editors to arrange translations and ensure that deadlines are met
· invoice instructions to invoicing department
· day-to-day communication with clients
· confirm order completion to clients
· develop new clients and maintain client relations
· any ad-hoc duties required


requirements
· english to mother tongue level, with good verbal and written command of the language
· fluency in any second language (ideally either german, french, spanish, japanese, korean, or italian but all languages considered)
· degree-level education in the applicable language
· ma in translation studies (desirable but not essential)
· ability to work under pressure and prioritise the workload
· strong customer service
· previous project management experience beneficial
· proven track record in the translation & localisation industry (2 years minimum)
· impeccable eye for detail
· ability to maintain professionalism in all situations
· flexibility and ability to work to a deadline
· ambition and a desire to learn and progress
· good microsoft office and internet skills
· familiarity with cat tools and translation memory software
· overseas education or work experience will be a plus
