primary responsibilities
• to provide english to chinese or chinese to english translation support to the banking clients
• to coordinate all incoming job requests, include:
• assessing completion time
• determining required capacity
• negotiating deadline with requester, if necessary
• advanced planning of capacity, if necessary
• providing advice to requester on more efficient ways of handling a job
• to maintain and seek ways to improve the quality of service provided, which may include building better client relations with and obtaining feedback from service users
• required to work on-site at client’s premises

desirable qualifications
• experiences of banking documentation translation highly preferred
• excellent command of chinese and english
• intermediate knowledge of microsoft office suite
• university graduate majoring in english / chinese translation, linguistics or equivalent
• solid translation experience
• ability to work well in a highly confidential environment
• able to work and deliver quality output under pressure and tight timeline
• knowledge of financial services industry a plus
• strong customer service skills and professionalism
• basic knowledge of the pc platform, understanding of windows
• ability to learn and conform to any new work procedures
• willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays at minimal notice when required
• speedy chinese / english word-processing input
