About Our Programme:
On behalf of the German government GIZ supports Chinese institutions in developing sustainable low carbon transport systems. In China, transport accounts for almost one fifth of total carbon emissions, challenging its sustainable development. But China is stepping up to the challenge of rapid motorization and urbanization and is committed to take efforts to limit the growth of its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In implementing low carbon transport interventions China can, at the same time, achieve additional sustainability benefits, such as better air quality, reduced congestion and improved road safety.
Established in 2010, the Sustainable Transport team of GIZ in China focuses on the development of a low carbon transport system based on five pillars:
• carbon accounting and emission evaluation
• climate protection and energy efficiency strategies
• electro-mobility and alternative fuels
• green freight logistics and
• sustainable urban transport

The sustainable transport programme engages in policy dialogues with decision makers from relevant government departments. In partnership with our Chinese counterparts we develop policy recommendations based on scientific research, best practice reviews and expert advisory. We use workshops and study tours to identify feasible solutions and encourage mutual learning. GIZ brings together Chinese and international experts to discuss scenarios for China’s future development.

The Tasks: The internship includes the full support of the Project Manager, incl. :

• Assisting in the research work of the project in the field of electro-mobility in China;
• 在电动汽车领域，辅助项目的相关研究工作
• Drafting (translating) newsletter for the project on the latest development of electro-mobility in China incl. policy, regulation, standard, industry and business news and updates;
• 获取中国电动汽车政策、法规、行业等领域的最新动态，撰写、翻译电动汽车发展简讯
• Assisting in drafting visibility materials for the project, incl. web reports, presentations etc.;
• 协助撰写项目宣传资料，包括网站报道、项目演示文稿等
• Assisting in the project communication and supporting the organization of project events;
• 协助组织项目活动、研讨会
• Assisting the preparation, review and editing of project documentation;
• 协助项目文案的归档管理
• Interpretation assignment, if required
• 翻译任务（如有需要）

Qualification requirements:

Note: only candidates who are currently enrolled in university are eligible for this internship

• Educational background related to environmental study, automobile, engineering or public policy is preferred;
• 具有环境学、车辆工程或公共政策领域相关背景的人员优先考虑
• Excellent English knowledge and translation skill. German is a plus;
• 熟练的英文及翻译水平。如能掌握德语更好
• Good ability on analyzing and summarizing information;
• 具有良好的分析与总结信息的能力
• Ability to work independently, good team player
• 可以独立计划并完成工作。须有团队意识
